The Championship

The Championship comprised 12 events - 6 races and 6 rallies - held throughout 1979. All the cars were identical 1300cc Ford Fiestas, prepared in a Faberge Kiku livery of yellow and brown. The winners of the Championship, and one other driver who showed the most promise were to be be offered some form of sponsored drive.
